Me and my brother and my dad went for a little trip on my Excursion 5 inflatable raft. We have a 44lb trolling motor hooked up to the back. Its a lot better than rowing :) Running at full speed with the marine battery we can go for appx. 1.5 hours. The raft has a modified plywood floor which sits atop pvc pipes. The floor is solid enough to comfortably stand on and walk around. It consists of three pieces held together with hinges so that it can be folded up and easily fit into my trunk. The plastic is only there to keep the plywood dry. There will be carpeting on top in the near future.

At the end, I had a special guest come fishing with me!

At the request of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, JSOTF-P sent two US Navy Mark V Special Operations Craft, two 11-meter Rigid-Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs) and a Maritime Support Vessel to assist Philippine Navy and Coast Guard rescue personnel. A civilian helicopter contracted by JSOTF-P also flew to the scene to provide search and rescue support from the air. Members of US Naval Special Boat Team 12 and US Navy SAR swimmers searched over 30 square miles for 11 hours, checking nearly 30 life rafts for survivors and scavenging relief supplies from the rafts to deliver to more than 100 survivors aboard a Philippine Navy vessel. The MSV crew provided 200 bottles of water for the US teams to distribute with the relief supplies. Sillinger avait fait le déplacement avec son 650 XL de la gamme SILVERLINE Une marque à retenu tout particulièrement notre attention avec la présentation de sa nouvelle gamme, les SILVER MARINE. Des bateaux au design très sympathique, et une qualité de fabrication très bonne. Le look gris anthracite, le tissus hypalon, les accessoires et finitions nous ont séduit... cette marque est à suivre car elle ne laisse pas indiférente.

Today in Stanislaus County rescuers were called into action to in three water rescues back to back to back on the Stanislaus River. 6 people were rescued in the operations and one young man drowned. Modesto News .org was the only news agency there from the start to bring you footage of all three rescue operations. The operations began around 4 pm when the Stanislaus County Fire Department and the Oakdale City Fire Department were called to Jacob Meyers Park in Riverbank for reports of two people stranded down river on the riverbank after the inflatable boat they were in hit something in the water and sank. They were able to swim to the banks of the river and were rescued. Modesto News .org spoke with them after their brush with death. As Firefighters were loading their boats into their boats onto their trailers a second call came out for two men who were stranded on the banks of the same river upstream in Oakdale, Ca. This information applies to Hypalon, Pennel Orca® and rubber inflatables. The same techniques can be used for gluing air-holding patches, D-rings and foot cups to your raft or cataraft. Lightship 91, known as 'Helwick', spent much of its life warning ships about the Helwick Sandbank in the Bristol Channel. Visitors can visit most parts of the boat to see the crew's quarters, a view into the engine room and the upper deck with its all important light... The Helwick is currently moored at Swansea Marina South Wales UK... A tug boat called 'Canning' was built in 1954. She is an oil-burning steam tug who worked from Swansea Docks from 1966. She retired to the Museum in 1975. There is no public access to Canning but she can be seen clearly from the pontoon and dockside. Our third floating vessel is 'Olga', a Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter built in 1909. This type of fast boat was used to take pilots out to larger ships to guide them through the difficult waters of the Bristol Channel. Like 'Helwick', 'Olga' is an important and rare survivor from a past time and is listed on the National Historic Ships Committee Core Collection list. Access to the boats is possible in June, July and August. The entrance to the pontoon is on Museum Square, near the Waterfront Tavern. The pontoon is accessible to wheelchair users, but unfortunately none of the boats are accessible.

Japan's Fisheries Minister Hirotaka Akamatsu publicly condemned Sea Shepherd and told reporters on Friday, "I am full of rage. I could not believe they did such a thing." Well, Mr. Alamatsu, we did not do such a thing, and we have the documentation to prove that the injuries suffered by the three crewmembers on the Shonan Maru 2 were self inflicted, said Captain Watson. The video taken by Sea Shepherd provides irrefutable evidence that the three Japanese crewmembers were overcome with pepper spray that they had sprayed into the wind in their attempt to fire the chemical irritant at Sea Shepherd crew in an inflatable boat. The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society has an unblemished record of never having caused a single injury and this video evidence absolves Sea Shepherd of any blame in this incident and will expose the fact that the Institute for Cetacean Research and the crew of the Shonan Maru 2 deliberately fabricated the story that they were injured by the rotten butter bombs tossed on the deck by Sea Shepherd crew. The exercise, which ran from 22 - 26 March 2004, was Australia's largest and most ambitious counter-terrorism exercise ever undertaken. It encompassed four jurisdictions simultaneously - the primary jurisdictions being the Northern Territory and Tasmania, with the secondary being Victoria and South Australia. As part of the Northern Territory jurisdiction, Exercise Mercury was held in the East Timor Gap where a Tactical Assault Group (TAG), an element of A Squadron 5 Aviation Regiment, a RAAF AP3C and HMAS Kanimbla were involved in training to resolve an incident recently. The aim was to test Australia's well-planned and coordinated approach to national security and highlight the strong relationship between the states and territories and the Australian Government. Greenpeace International activists continued their peaceful protest against Gazprom's Arctic drilling platform Prirazlomnaya into a fifth day. Two activists from Finland and Germany attached their inflatable to mooring lines linking the Anna Akhmatova and Prirazlomnaya, but the Anna Akhmatova proceeded with the boarding anyway, winching the Greenpeace boat into the air and throwing the activists into the frigid waters below. The Greenpeace ship, the Arctic Sunrise, now plans to sail to the ice edge with a team of scientists to document the moment when the summer sea ice minimum is reached and bear witness to this disappearing world.
